A book sells on a recommendation. Readers buy what a friend, a book club or a teacher told them to read, and a publisher or an author who sells through a marketplace pays a large share of each sale for that recommendation to happen on someone else's site. MLM software for books publishers is Daani's MLM software configured for publishers and authors who sell from their own site through a network of readers instead: the reader who recommends a book gets a commission on the copies sold through their link, and a smaller one on the sales of the readers they bring in. The software holds the catalogue, the member pages, the orders and downloads, the subscriptions and the compensation plan, and it pays the commissions every period. It is one of the configurations run by the more than 100 network marketing companies in the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia and other countries that use the software. This page covers what a book network needs from the software, the plans these companies run, the path from a recommendation to the payout and the cost.
The unilevel plan is the usual choice: a reader earns a commission on their own referrals and a smaller percentage on a few levels of the readers they introduced, which suits a product that sells one copy at a time. A publisher that sells subscriptions adds the repurchase plan, which pays on every monthly renewal rather than once. A company that wants a reading programme with ranks, for school networks or home-education groups, uses the generation plan, which pays a leader on the volume of their whole group. The plans overview compares them, and the demo is configured with the plan you send.
Independent publishers and small presses that want to sell direct instead of through a marketplace; authors with a series and a reader base; educational publishers that sell through teachers and home-education networks; audiobook and e-book companies that sell subscriptions. Companies that also sell courses next to their books pair the book shop with the online education programme software, and companies that sell music or other digital files alongside use the same digital delivery as the music network configuration.
The ready-made 4G package costs $50 to $150 USD per month and the 5G and 6G packages up to $800 per month, hosting on the Daani server, updates and support for as long as you are our client included; it is enough for a publisher with a catalogue, a plan and a network. A customised edition, for instance with the digital delivery and the pre-order rules built the way your imprint works, is a one-time project: 3,000 for the 5G package and 6,999 for the 6G, with discounts of up to 70% from time to time. The pricing page has the full list.
Can a reader earn on a book they did not buy? Yes. A member is paid on the sales through their link whether or not they bought the title; a plan can require a personal purchase or a minimum order if you want it to.
How are e-books protected? A digital file is delivered as a download in the buyer's account after payment; the number of downloads and the period in which they are allowed are set per product.
Can I sell on a marketplace as well? Yes. The network sells from your site; what you sell elsewhere is outside the plan and does not earn commissions.
Does the network pay in several currencies? Yes. The software is multi-currency and multi-language, and readers in the USA, Europe or Australia see prices and payouts in their own currency.
How do I see it? Request the free demo of our Books MLM software and send us a few titles and your plan; the demo is set up with them and with a reader's page and app.
