Handicraft sells on its story: who made it, where, how. The people who tell that story best are the customers who own a piece and the sellers who met the artisan, which is why handicraft brands, artisan cooperatives and fair-trade companies have always sold through fairs, home parties and personal networks. MLM software for the handicraft industry is Daani's MLM software configured for them: a catalogue in which many items exist only once, artisans who are suppliers and often members, sellers with their own pages, fairs and parties as sales events, orders shipped to other countries and a compensation plan the software calculates every period. More than 100 companies in the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia and other countries run their networks on the software. This page covers what a handicraft network needs from the software, the plans these companies run, the path from a fair to the payout and the cost.
Most handicraft networks run a unilevel plan: a seller earns on their own sales and a small percentage on a few levels of the sellers they brought in, which suits items sold one at a time at many prices. A cooperative with regional leaders adds a generation plan, which pays a leader on the volume of their whole group, and a brand with a repeat line of textiles or consumables pays it with the repurchase plan. The plans overview compares them, and the demo is configured with the plan you send.
Artisan cooperatives and producer groups; handicraft exporters that build a seller network in the countries they ship to; fair-trade and ethical brands; and designers who sell handmade textiles, ceramics, woodwork and jewellery through parties and personal networks. A company whose range is mostly clothing and accessories configures the shop the way the fashion industry page describes, one that sells handmade furniture the way the furniture page does, and a jewellery brand the way the jewellery page does.
The ready-made 4G package costs $50 to $150 USD per month and the 5G and 6G packages up to $800 per month, hosting on the Daani server, updates and support for as long as you are our client included; a cooperative with a catalogue, a plan and a seller network runs on it. A customised edition, for instance with the artisan settlement report or the fair booking built the way your organisation works, is a one-time project: 3,000 for the 5G package and 6,999 for the 6G, with discounts of up to 70% from time to time. The pricing page has the full list.
What happens when two sellers sell the same one-off piece? They cannot: the item has a stock of one and is removed from every page at the first paid order; a second attempt is told it is sold.
Can an artisan see their own sales? Yes. An artisan with a member account sees the sales of their pieces in the back office; the cooperative sees all artisans in the report.
Can prices differ by country? Yes. Each product has its price in each currency, and a customer sees the one for their country.
Can a customer order a custom piece through a seller? Yes. The custom order is placed on the seller's page with a deposit and a lead time, and the seller is credited when the piece is delivered or paid, as you set it.
How do I see it? Request the free demo of our Handicraft MLM software and send us a few pieces and your plan; the demo is set up with them and with a seller's page and app.
